RunOnVPS sizing suggestion

Suggested VPS tier

4 GB RAM tier

This is our sizing suggestion, derived from Open WebUI’s recommended RAM of 4 GB. It is not an official requirement and it does not guarantee that every workload, plug-in set or media library will fit comfortably.

Important notes

官方未标明最低硬件配置: official Quick Start docs state the :slim image idles at about 300 MiB RAM and explicitly say that figure is not a minimum requirement; estimates are based on the default Docker (:main) deployment (main image download 1.62 GB per official docs). GPU optional: only relevant for bundled Ollama/CUDA images or local embedding/speech; the UI itself works against external APIs. License: v0.6.6+ uses the Open WebUI License (branding may not be removed for deployments over 50 users per 30 days unless contributor permission or Enterprise license; code up to v0.6.5 remains BSD-3).
