Stars checked 2026-10-24 on haiwen/seafile, which the project README calls the front page for Seafile on GitHub (the server core repo haiwen/seafile-server is separate, ~548 stars). License is per component per the README: server core AGPLv3, desktop sync client GPLv2, Seahub (web UI) Apache-2.0. Official System Requirements page for the Community Edition: memory 2G, CPU 2 cores (more than 2GHz recommended), hard disk 10G available with more than 50G recommended — min values are official CE numbers; the same 2-core/2GB is also the CE setup recommendation, and the Pro edition Docker deployment requires 4 cores / 4GB. Extensions such as OnlyOffice require increasing the requirements. User file storage is excluded from min_disk.
