RunOnVPS sizing suggestion

Suggested VPS tier

1 GB RAM tier

This is our sizing suggestion, derived from Netdata’s recommended RAM of 1GB. It is not an official requirement and it does not guarantee that every workload, plug-in set or media library will fit comfortably.

Important notes

Stars/license checked 2026-10-24 (Agent is GPL-3.0; the dashboard UI is under the separate NCUL1 license per repo README). Official Resource utilization page (Minimum system requirements): standalone Agent footprint is CPU 1%-5% of a single core, RAM 100-200 MB on an empty system and 250-350 MB in typical production, disk ~4 GiB by default — min_disk 4GB is official; min_ram 512MB is a conservative VPS estimate based on the official production footprint. Official Docker install guide linked from repo README. Netdata can monitor host GPUs but does not require one.
